The process, features and advantages of soybean hot peeling
Soybeans need to be cleaned, filtered, fried and peeled before using soybean oil processing equipment for oil extraction. While some of the soybean oil manufacturers ignore the soybean peeling process directly, which would lead to too much impurity content in the extracted soybean oil, and residual oil content in soybean flake and cake also increases.
Peeling soybeans before oil pressing can have several advantages:
Higher oil yield:
Peeling soybeans before pressing can increase the oil yield because the skin of soybeans contains certain anti-nutritional factors, such as phytic acid, which can interfere with the oil extraction process and reduce the yield.
Improved oil quality:
Soybean skins contain pigments and other impurities that can affect the quality and color of the oil. By removing the skins before pressing, the resulting oil can be clearer, lighter in color, and have a more neutral taste.
Increased protein content in the meal:
The soybean skins are rich in protein, and removing them before pressing can increase the protein content in the meal that is left over after the oil has been extracted. This can make the meal more valuable as an animal feed or as an ingredient in food products.
Reduced processing time and costs:
Peeling soybeans can save time and reduce the costs associated with oil extraction, as it eliminates the need for additional processing steps, such as dehulling or bleaching.
Then, how does the oil processing equipment work for soybean peeling?
Soybean to be peeled must be cleaned and filtered. Put the soybean in fluidized bed dryer for heating and drying. The hot air of the dryer of oil processing equipment enters from the bottom to the layer of soybean. Then, flows through and circles round the soybean layer and take away the moisture instantaneously to reduce the moisture in equipment to less than 3%. After a few repetitions, when the moisture content of soybean is 9% ~ 10%, surface temperature of soybean can reach 75 ~ 92 degrees. Because of the rapid thermal expansion, soybean hulls will be cracked and peeled from the soybean kernel. Then, the blower or other separation equipment is used for hull and kernel separation to achievethe purpose of soybean peeling.
What are the advantages of soybean oil processing equipment in the process?
Shorten the soybean oil production cycle, the peeling rate can reach above 90% in 20min; short heating time, reduce the probability of soy protein denaturation. Repeated heat ultilization saves energy consumption. But the process also has some disadvantages, that is the peeling process is complicated, difficult to operate with large noise.
