Operation and maintenance of screw oil press
The precautions before starting the oil press
1, The room temperature of screw oil press warehouse should be kept at 15～20°C, low temperature affect the oil output and oil quality.
2, Full preparation of the tools before pressing for feeding, receiving oil, removing impurities, dredge hopper and cleaning machine.
3, Check up the transmission and lubrication system, to ensure the flexible rotation and good lubrication.
4, After starting the machine, make it run idle. If it has abnormal noise, hitting sound and other abnormal phenomenon, the machine should be stopped and examined. As long as the problems have been solved, the machine can not be tested. We stop the process until the machine is in normal stable operation.
5, Moisture content should be appropriate before pressing. The most appropriate moisture content is like below: peanut 8-11%, soybean 5-8%, cotton seeds4-6%and rape seeds 6-8%.
Methods of test the moisture content of several oil plants according to experience.
Cotton seeds: the cotton seeds are break with teeth bite and the shell and kernel are easily separated. It shows that the moisture content is proper. If the kernel is powdery, it shows too dry; if the kernel is in pieces, it shows too wet.
Soybean: the moisture content is proper when the soybean can be crushed by the front teeth bite and flat or crack the soybean by the cheek teeth bite with slight sound. If the soybeans are flat by bite, it means too wet; if it breaks with great noise, it means too dry.
Kernel: it mainly use the hot pressing way and preheat the pressing chamber. When the kernel’s temperature is up to 60°C, press the kernel with hotness.
Rape seed: the rape seed make a noise and divided into pieces when we squeeze it with fingernails. It means the moisture content is proper. If it change into powder, it means low moisture content, if the rape seeds are flat without cracking, it meats high moisture content. The rape seeds are fried in the iron pan for about 10 minutes with temperature about 70-80°C. Rub the rape seeds with a triangular block on the plate, if the shell and kernel are separated into two pieces, it means the moisture content is appropriate. If the kernel are powdery, it meats low moisture content. If they are not separated, it means moisture content is too high.
Operation of screw oil press
1, When the screw oil press is in normal operation after idle running, a small amount of oil plants are feeding into the machine evenly and slowly to heat the chamber with observing the situation of discharging cakes. If it can not discharge with smoothness, adjust the hand wheel in the clockwise direction due to the small clearance of discharging mouth. If the discharging cakes are too many or too fast, adjust the hand wheel in the anticlockwise direction, until it works in normal condition. And then increase the feeding speed slowly, to prevent the uneven feed with suddenly high work load with blockage.
2, the work temperature of oil press should be decided by the varieties of oil plant and its moisture content. If the feed is too dry, the machine temperature should be higher. On the contrary, the temperature should be lower. The oil press usually can press oil under 60°C of machine temperature. The machine should be in normal operation with hot touch of machine body shell.
3, after starting the oil press, adjust the thickness of cakes to 0.3-1.0mm gradually. When it meets the requirement, pull the hand lever and lock the adjusting nut to increase the feeding speed.
4, Check up the cake mouth situation regularly. If it is not smooth or stop working, the feeding should be stopped. Pull out the plate and remove the piled materials in the inlet, the spindle are withdrawn gradually to remove the blockage.
5, Remove the slag leakage constantly during work to prevent the blocked oil path. The recovery of slag can be put back into the hopper to press.
6, During the secondary pressing, the oil cakes should be break into small pieces of about 10mm to feed into the hopper, to prevent the overheat effects of feed. In general, the soybean pressed 2 times, peanut and cottonseed extract 2-3 times.
7, If the metal or other hard objects enter into the machine chamber, the machine should be stopped and cleaned immediately.
8, Before stopping the machine of 1-2 minutes, close the inlet board and stop feeding, and then exit the screw 2 round , 3 round to increase the clearance of discharging cakes, so the redundant residue in the chamber are discharged.
Maintenance of screw oil press
1, Lubricant each parts of screw oil press with grease or machine oil. Generally the copper sleeve and the adjusting screws should be added oil every 4-6 hours work. The rolling bearing should be cleaned and filled with butter after 3-4 month of using.
2, Maintain the screw oil press after 3-4 months of working. The main projects are: adjusting the concentric situation of pressing screw shaft and pressing chamber; check up the wearing of pressing screw, pressing bar and cake ring. The easy wearing is at the last three buckles of the screws. The new screws should be replaced if it affects the efficiency. The wearing pressing bar is like circular arc shape which can lower the pressure of pressing chamber. If the volume is up to 2mm, it can be used to change the surface; a new one should be replaced with both sides wearing.
