Basic Process of Cold Pressed Oil:
Removing impurity – > Drying – > Crushing and Shelling – > Cold Press – > Drying and Filtering – > Cold Pressed Oil Packing.
Removing impurities: The seeds or nuts are cleaned to remove any dirt, stones, or other impurities present.
Drying: The cleaned seeds or nuts are dried to reduce their moisture content, ensuring better oil extraction and preventing spoilage.
Crushing and shelling: The dried seeds or nuts are crushed or ground into a coarse meal. In the case of nuts, the shells are often removed before crushing.
Cold press: The crushed seeds or nuts are then subjected to a mechanical pressing process. A hydraulic oil press or screw press is commonly used to apply pressure and extract the oil from the seed or nut material. The pressing is done at a low temperature, typically below 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celsius).
Drying and filtering: The extracted oil is usually allowed to settle and undergo a natural separation process. Any remaining solids or impurities are then filtered out to obtain a cleaner oil.
